Obituary

Carolyn Maria LeBeau (née Sanromá), age 92, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed into eternal life on Friday, May 9, 2025. She died as she lived—with Christ in her heart and surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on March 4, 1933, to John and Maude Sanromá, Carolyn grew up alongside brothers John (deceased), Paul (deceased), and Joseph, in a home filled with classical music and joy.

Her bubbly personality and deep Catholic faith were lifelong hallmarks. She became a Red Cross–certified swimming instructor and lifeguard at Crystal Lake, Newton, MA. After earning a Home Economics degree from Regis College and a Master’s in Psychology from Boston College—where she met Edward LeBeau—she married him on June 15, 1957.

The couple moved to Phoenix, AZ, and together raised six children, later enjoying 25 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Carolyn encouraged each family member’s talents, from music to mechanics, always mentoring with love and wisdom.

Active in the City of the Lord Catholic Community, she modeled hospitality, counsel, and unwavering faith. In her final days, comforted by prayer and family, she recited Scripture: “If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts.” Her last words were, “I want to be with Jesus.”

Carolyn’s legacy of faith, family, and service endures in all who knew her.
